The Wayland girls’ varsity tennis team absorbed a 6-2 nonleague loss at Lowell Tuesday.

The loss dropped the Lady Wildcats’ overall season record to 1-1 after they defeated Hastings 6-2 March 30 in their season dual meet opener.

Coach Rick Brown said top performances were turned in by Presley Oatman, Reylee Hudson and Cheyenne Cawley.

Weather permitting, the ‘Cats are scheduled to open O-K Gold Conference dual matches today, Wednesday, vs. South Christian.
