Sophomore Harmony Laker and senior Maddy Terry of Wayland have been selected to the first unit of the all-O-K Gold Conference basketball team.
Two two were the Lady Wildcats’ top scorers for the season, in which they captured the league championship for the second time in the last three years.
It was Laker’s second selection in her two years. It was Terry’s first, but she was honorable mention a year ago.
South Christian landed three slots on the 10-player unit, including freshman sharpshooter Lizzie Wolthuis. Wayland and Grand Rapids Catholic Central both had two.
Wildcat junior Reese Coughlin and senior Liberty Laker both earned honorable mention accolades.
The Wildcats’ season ended Wednesday in the district semifinals. They compiled an overall record of 18-5.
