Junior guard Parrish Hudson swished four threes and scored 15 points.

The Wayland girls’ varsity basketball team Friday improved its overall season record to 4-0 with a convincing 60-20 non-league decision at Kenowa Hills.

The Lady Wildcats were never in any trouble, as they shot out to a commanding 36-11 lead at halftime and coasted the rest of the way.

Junior 6-2 pivot Stephanie Ainsworth once again was the top scorer with 19 points. She has a lot of support, as junior guard Parrish Hudson swished four three-point field goals and finished with 15 points. Freshman guard Maddy Terry hit a couple of threes and scored eight points for the evening, senior Haley Dobry counted six points and Kenzie Wolf drilled a three.

All but one Wayland player who dressed got into the scoring column.

The Lady Wildcats will travel to Black River Tuesday and then will be on the home court next Thursday evening for what should be an interesting matchup against Hopkins before taking a winter break.
