A goal scoring flurry enabled the Wayland High School varsity girls’ soccer team to register its third win of the season Friday, 8-2 over Grand Rapids Covenant Christian 8-2.

Grace Dunkle scored three of the goals, Amanda Brown added two more, and McKenna Bruin, Kennedy Thelen and Emily Thompson had one apiece. Assists went to Grace Dunkle, Kennedy Thelen (2), Payton Sidebotham, and Amanda Brown (2).

Lilly Bolliger made three saves in goal for the Wildcats.

The victory brings Wayland’s overall record to 3-4 (1-3 O-K Gold).

The girls travel to Grand Rapids Christian Monday as they return to conference play.
