The Wayland girls’ varsity bowling team took a 10-0 lead on Zeeland East Monday, but then watched the Chix fight back to climb into a 15-15 tie.

The verdict left the Lady Wildcats with a 2-0-1 record in dual matches this season.

Wayland boys, meanwhile, lost to Zeeland 25-5.

“The boys are definitely going on the right direction as a team,” coach Eric Bottrall said. “All of them are making great improvements on their games and will get that first win of the season soon.”
