Robert Westmoreland of Dorr died of cancer Tuesday, April 18. He was 74 years old.

Robert was born June 21, 1948, to parents Katherine and Wade in Pasadena, Calif. After graduating from Pasadena High, he followed his best friend, Dick Teed, to Monterey, Mich., where he raised his children.

Bob worked in maintenance at Lifesavers, where he met Darlene and would eventually retire from Kellogg’s. He then found his passion project of restoring vintage motorcycles.

Bob enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, RV-ing, cooking, and working on his motorcycles. It was a goal of Darlene’s to see all 50 states and Bob made sure that it happened. He had a soft spot for his animals Maxwell, Kiki, Fatso, and his beloved traveling companion, Puddy.

Bob is survived by his wife, Darlene; children Robert Westmoreland, Bill Westmoreland, Michelle Martin; grandchildren Claude, Shelly; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diane; and brother, Hank.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 24, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Dorr chapel), 4330 18th St., with a celebration of Bob’s life at 6 p.m.

In memory of Bob and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
