Madison, the 12-year-old granddaughter of 1974 Wayland High School graduate Kathy Worfel, just finished her first complete season as a member of a sixth grade football team in Texas. Her grandmother is no stranger to being the only girl on the team, having played boys’ tennis for the Wildcats in 1972, 1973 and 1974, before the implementation of Title IX.
