The Leighton, Dorr and City of Wayland fire departments Wednesday took part in a “Wildcat Wash Away” event. Students who signed up to attend the event would gather in our bus loop to participate in this unique experience. Students wrote words or phrases that hold them down, things they need to let go of, and/or messages they feel need to be said using sidewalk chalk. Then, collectively, we would “wash away” these messages with water. A spokesperson for the three departments said, “This was a great event for students to express their thoughts and we appreciate taking part in them.”
