Lots of work ahead, but time to climb those golden stairs

These three Wayland High School seniors still cling to the dream that they will play one more time in front of local fans in the local gym. However, (from left) Morgan Winger, Presley Hudson and Caroline (C.J.) Miller have a lot of work to do yet. First, they must beat South Christian Monday night for the third time this season, beat an unknown opponent Wednesday, win the district title next Friday night and then win twice in the regionals. If they can do that, it’s likely they’ll face their old rival Grand Rapids Catholic Central at the Wayland gym in the state Class B quarterfinals.
