Gun Lake Tribal Police earlier this week arrested a 25-year-old man accused of robbery and attempted robbery at the facility’s parking lot.

Two women reported they were attacked by Gerald Mitchell, 25, in the parking lot of Gun Lake Casino after midnight Tuesday and tried to pilfer their purses. FBI authorities said Mitchell was able to take one of the purses with him into the woods, where eventually he was found and apprehended.

Mitchell now faces robbery and attempted robbery charges.
