Allegan County Sheriff’s authorities said a suspect was taken into custody Wednesday morning after a nine-hours standoff at the Hunter’s Glen Mobile Home Park in Leighton Township.
Deputies reported they were summoned to the mobile home park on Division north of Wayland at about 7 p.m. Tuesday. They received a report of a domestic assault and when they arrived, they found a man had threatened one of the residents of the home with a firearm and had assaulted another.
After the alleged victims were able to leave the mobile home, he was reported to have barricaded himself inside with a gun.
The name of the suspect has not been released as yet and it is not clear what charges will be filed.
