The Wayland boys’ varsity basketball team Friday night lost for the second time this season to Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills.

Perhaps the Wildcats can take some comfort in a much closer final score, dropping a 76-62 decision on the Bengals’ court. They lost at home last month by a 92-59 score.

Also demonstrating improvement on the hardcourt Friday was Martin, which lost 43-33 at Gobles. The Clippers had been clobbered 53-14 at home against Gobles Dec. 15.

Hopkins, however, absorbed its 10th consecutive defeat, 63-38, at Wyoming Godwin Heights. The Vikings have now won since Dec. 12 and remain winless in the O-K Silver Conference. Hopkins is 4-11 overall.
