Fennville handed Martin a tough hoops loss in a makeup game Monday, ending at 66-54
After the first quarter Fennville led 23-8 and widened its lead to 42-19 at halftime.
It was a better second half for the Clippers, however. Thanks to the offensive combination of Cayden Curry and Alex Hardy, the Clippers recovered to only lose by 12.
“It was definitely a frustrating start to the game,” commented coach Brad Moelker, “The second half Alex and Cayden really started to attack the rim which opened up great looks for the team.”
Hardy led the charge for Martin, dropping in 16 points, Logan Elkins was good for 14, and Curry contributed 13.
Martin, now 6-8 plays at Gobles on Friday.
