The siren, as the plaque notes, was placed on top of the former Boysen’s Market at the four corners downtown. It was used to warn residents of inclement weather for 40 years. The Boysen building last summer was razed after falling into disrepair and it has been replaced by a Dollar General store. Speaking here during the ceremony in front of the plaque and siren is Township Supervisor Glenn Leep.
