The Martin High School varsity football team finished its season with a 4-5 overall record, it best season since 2007.
The Clippers won four of their first six games and would have been considered for a post-season playoff spot in Division 8 if they had won one of their last three games. However, they lost to Decatur, Galesburg-Augusta and Kalamazoo United in the last three weeks to drop out of playoff contention.
Martin concluded the season Friday evening with a 42-7 defeat at Kalamazoo United.
Details of all three games were not made made available despite repeated attempts to e-mail coaches and staff.
