Martin girls captured a non-conference basketball victory Saturday afternoon in a makeup against West Michigan Aviation Academy.

The Lady Clippers prevailed 52-21 about as easily as they did in their victory Jan. 9. They took control early with a 17-5 lead in the opening quarter and used an 18-3 run in the third period to turn the contest into a rout.

Not one of Martin’s players scored in double figures, as the points were well spread out. Jaclyn Hildebrand and Natalie Yowler both scored nine points, Kiaya Warner and Faith Guritz both added eight, and Briana Warner and Madison Bogdan both had six.

Guritz collected 11 rebounds and Yowler had eight, as Martin enjoyed a 34-22 advantage in that department.

Martin is 11-2 overall for the season.
