Martin High School graduate Austin Marsman has taken the gavel as incoming chairman of the Young Democrats of Michigan.
Marsman said, “On behalf of your next Executive Board, I want to thank everyone who attended the convention this weekend and those who placed their trust in us. Your support and commitment to this work inspires me, and I look forward to working together to build a stronger YDM.
Over the next few weeks the Executive Board will continue to work through the transition process. I encourage you to stay tuned for updates as we roll out ways to get involved through e-mail and social media.”
Marsman was elected to a seat on the Martin Board of Education and ran for Allegan County Commissioner and State Representative. He now lives in Plainwell.
