Though there are forecasts of inclement weather for this weekend, the Martin Hometown Day Committee is saying. “The show must go on.”

A Facebook posting Friday said,:

“For those that may be interested or just curious;

“We, the committee for the Hometown Day scheduled for Saturday the 15th are still planning to hold the event, knowing what the forecast is appearing to be like. It is our hope that the weather cooperates. There may have to be some last minute arrangements made, should the weather not be favorable.

“At this point we haven’t discussed any plans for canceling. That may be necessary in the event of severe weather. We are anxious to go forward with the event, and look forward to seeing those that are able to attend.”
