Martin School Board to fill vacancy left by Andrews

The Martin Board of Education will have a vacancy beginning with the next regularly scheduled meeting Sept. 20.

Board Vice President Rosemary Andrews resigned at the July meeting to allow more time to handle family medical needs.

The future board member will complete the term through December 31, 2023. The individual selected may petition to be on the Nov. 3, 2022, ballot and remain on the board at least until Jan. 1, 2025, with a win during the election cycle.

Interested parties will need to drop off or mail a letter of intent to the Martin Public Schools Administrative Office, along with a resume, at Martin Public Schools, 1556 Chalmers, Martin, MI 49070 or e-mail
Superintendent Brooke Ballee-Stone.
