It’s not easy to get Martin Township represented on the Gun Lake Board. Walter Blue (shown at left being sworn in just 18 months ago by Martin Township Clerk Carrie Coburn), has had to resign for family reasons, so the board is seeking his replacement. The Martin Township representative must be a township resident and live on or have access to Gun Lake. Not very many Martin Township residents actually live on the lake, according to Supervisor Glenn Leep. County Commissioner Don Black said the board, chaired by Drain Commissioner Denise Medemar, mostly deals with weed control issues. (File photo)
