Martin sub teacher has his 2nd book published

Randy Spohn, a substitute teacher at Martin Public Schools, has published, “Lonnie the Lizard and the Deep Woods,” and he has hired Martin High School senior Madeline Roser Jonker to illustrate. It is the second book in the “Lonnie the Lizard” series.

This time Lonnie and his brothers explore deep into the woods and find themselves in a harrowing situation. Lonnie learns about courage and must persevere to make it back home to his family.

“He needed someone to draw the pictures,” Jonker said. “He asked me if I would and I was honored that he asked me. I am in high school and finishing out my last year at this school.

“The first book was such a great experience, and that’s when Randy decided he wanted to make another book.” I hope you all love and enjoy this book. It means a lot to me!”
