Boys-GolfWayland senior golf ace Ali Martus continues her torrid individual pace on the links, but the Wayland squad continues to be in the middle of the pack.

The Lady Wildcats finished in fifth place at the Muskegon Mona Shores Invitational held Thursday at Stonegate Golf Course.

Martus, with a score of 76, took medialist honors, the third straight time she has done so in three invitationals this season.

Alexis Kirschbaum was second for the Wildcats with a 97 and Hunter Fenton had a 109.

Martus now had carded 18-hole scores of 76, 77 and 76 in the first three tournament of the season.

Mona Shores won its tourney with a score of 365, Forest Hills Northern came in at 366 and South Christian 389.

Wayland had a 408. There were eight teams in the competition.
