Arlene Laura Pitsch, age 91, died Saturday, Oct 2.

Arlene and Loren were partners in life and in Pitsch Wrecking Company. She believed in the value of education, which was provided to her children.

Because of her interest in health and fitness, she was active in various sports. She enjoyed golf, running, hunting, walking, swimming in her pool, traveling, playing cards, winters in Florida, and summers on the lake, especially riding around on her jet ski.

If it weren’t for her nine-month battle with leukemia, she had the energy and spirit to live to the age of 100.

She is survived by her children Gary (Karen) Pitsch, Kathleen (Russell) Young, Laura Pitsch, Lewis (Teresa) Pitsch, Gloria Pitsch, Loren Jr. (Beth) Pitsch, Steven (Michelle) Pitsch; daughter-in-law, Ann Sprouse; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sister, Berdean Pitsch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren, and her son Dale. Her sister, Eleanor Pawloski, and brother, Bernard Wolf, also preceded her in death.

The mass, Christian burial and celebration of Arlene’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave. SW, Byron Center. There will also be time for brief visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. prior to the mass.

In honor of Arlene, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Michigan Chapter.
