Service set Tuesday for Billy Miller of Dorr

Billy Miller of Dorr, a man whose kindness, love, and devotion touched the lives of all who knew him, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 18.

Billy was not only Kelly’s best friend and soulmate but also the heart of their family. He and Kelly built a life raising two daughters, Alaina (9) and Aubrie (6).

He was a devoted husband, father, and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was their biggest fan, supporting Alaina on the softball field, Aubrie on the soccer field, and encouraging both girls as they explored new passions, including Alaina’s recent journey into cheerleading. Billy often stepped up as a coach.

An avid mountain biker, Billy found joy and freedom on the trails, a passion he shared with friends and loved ones.

He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council #14642 and a dedicated member of St. Sebastian Parish.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Miller-Wagner; brother, Brandon and Anna Miller and their kids Isaac and Vivian; in-laws Annette and Bob Dever, Rod and Tracy Weber; brothers- and sisters-in-law Scott and Kristin Weber and their kids Jackson and Riley, Ryan and Jamie Weber and their children Caleb and Blair; and many aunts, uncles, cousins,and friends.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, Arnold; brother, Andrew; grandparents Bill and Marilyn Miller, Harry and Lorena Boersma.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 9408 Wilson Ave, Byron Center, with Msgr. William Duncan celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th Ave., Dorr and Tuesday prior to mass at church from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. There will be a vigil service at 7:45 p.m. Monday evening.
