Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday for Carl Wrobleski

Carl Hubert Wrobleski, 82, of Hopkins, died Monday, July 25, at Health Bridge of Wyoming.

Born Aug. 3, 1939, in Hopkins, he was the son of the late Hubert F. and Helen I. (Hula) Wrobleski and was the husband of the late Janice Wrobleski and the late Barbara Wrobleski. Carl was originally from Schoolcraft but was raised in Hopkins.

He served in the United States Marine Corps for four years. After his military service, Carl returned to Hopkins and farmed for the remainder of his working life. He enjoyed his retirement years and especially loved dining out at restaurants, playing casino games on his computer and gardening.

Perhaps his favorite time, though, was that which he spent with his grandchildren. Carl was a kind man who always took the time to help others when he was able. He was selfless and ever supportive of his family.

Carl is survived by his son, Michael (Margaret) Wrobleski and their children, Madison, Molly and Ryan; siblings, James (Jackie) Wrobleski, Virginia Kaminski and Charles Wrobleski; and sister-in-law, Zandra Wrobleski. He is also survived by seven stepchildren and twenty-four step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug, 1, from with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2. Carl will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery privately.
