Memorial Day on Monday, May 31, was back with a vengeance in Wayland, Martin and Hopkins, as parades honoring the fallen were held in all three communities. In the cover is the Wayland High School marching band, overseen by the pseudo selfie offered by Director Kelli Tilley Smith. Above is the procession in Martin with a distinctive agricultural theme in the downtown area. All such activities were verboten a year ago because of the health risks of the Coronavrus.
