Memorial luncheon is Nov. 12 for Frances Tuttle, 86

Frances E. Tuttle (Dougherty), age 86 of Hopkins, died on the morning of Monday, Oct. 24, after a series of health complications in Wyoming, Mich.

Frances was born on July 18, 1936, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Royal (Earl) and Helen (Beebe) Dougherty. Frances moved to Hopkins in 1962 and married William Tuttle on Nov. 2, 1962. They celebrated their 53rd anniversary before William passed away in March 2016.

Frances spent her married life as a homemaker; family was everything to her. She loved caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they came to visit. In their early married years, Frances and William would spend their spare time on the dance floor square dancing. Frances loved to shop and was always looking for a bargain.

Frances is survived by her children, Alice Tuttle, Pam (Dave) Warner, and Carleen (Randy) Marklevitz; grandchildren, Scott (Stacey) Marklevitz, Chad (Allison) Brummel, Matthew (Kendra) Warner, Lance (Erin) Marklevitz, Kendra (Jordan) Bylsma, and Nicole Warner; great-grandchildren, Easton, Coy, Jude, and Theo Marklevitz, Lila and Chloe Brummel, Sawyer Bylsma with another great-grandson due in December; brother, Harvey (Ann) Dougherty; special niece, Carla Kruger; as well as many other nieces and nephews.

A memorial luncheon will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1896 135th Ave, Hopkins (Hilliards). Private graveside services will take place at a later date.
