Memorial service April 23 for Marilois Leep of Martin

Marilois Leep died Monday, April 11, at Vicinia Gardens in Otsego. She was 89.

Born Aug. 25, 1932, in Wayland, the daughter of Joseph and Helene (Haveman) DeHaan, Marilois loved traveling and spending time with her family. She was a longtime member of East Martin Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed worshipping and fellowship with her church friends.

In 1953 at Moline Christian Reformed Church she married Andrew Leep, who died in 1991.

Surviving are her children, Carl (Lori) Leep of Oregon, Stan Leep of Martin, Glenn (Nancy) Leep of Shelbyville, Karen (Rod) DeGraaf of Minnesota, Thea (Steve) VanderHill of Texas and Nathan (Stacie) Leep of Rockford; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, plus another due this summer; sister, Lorraine VanderVliet of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Marjorie Alberda of Grand Rapids along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Harold, Leslie, Carl and Junior.

Friends may visit with Marilois’ family from 6:30-8 PM, Friday, April 22, at the East Martin Christian Reformed Church. Private family burial will take place at East Martin Cemetery.

Family will greet friends starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at the East Martin Christian Reformed Church until the time of the memorial service at 12:30 p.m. with Marlilois’ son, Rev. Carl Leep, officiating.

Contributions in memory of Marilois may be made to East Martin Christian School or East Martin Christian Reformed Church.
