Nicole Renee Ash, 46, died Friday, Nov. 12.

Nicole was a kind and gentle spirit with a generous compassion for others, reflected in her career choice as a caregiver at nursing homes. In her younger years, Nicole was described as a joyful spirit, always “bouncing” around the house and singing in the background.

She and her family enjoyed their many camping adventures together, where Nicole could make a friend with whomever she met. One of the most important aspects of her life was her devotion to her faith in God. She carried many different versions of the Bible with her to make sure she understood and grew in her faith.

Nicole is survived by her son, Dakota Ash; grandson, Jeremiah Ash; parents Craig and Barbara Ash; brother, Brent Ash; and many extended relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Moline Baptist Church, 1237 Rosewood St., Wayland.

In memory of Nicole and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
