Patricia “Pat” Ann Jones, age 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Pat was very “family oriented” and enjoyed traveling, especially to Nashville, Branson and Florida. Pat liked listening to country music, especially the classics like Elvis and the Statler Brothers, along with watching her Lawrence Welk show. She retired from Sandy Pines as a security guard in 2008.
The family would like to extend appreciation to Kindred Hospice and her niece, Renee Gunnink, for their care and compassion and gratitude to the Veenstra family for their never-ending support.
She is survived by her children William “Bill” Jones, Barb (Eric) Wolfe, Kim (Dave) Kaylor; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Carley (Bill) Guidebeck; brother-in-law, Ron Jones; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Russell Jones; parents Guy and Maude Bush; and five of her siblings.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services – Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St., Wayland. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services.
In memory of Pat and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice.
