Marie Adeline Webster, age 71, died at home in Wayland Monday, Aug. 15.
Marie was a bookworm who loved to read her favorite author, Stephen King. She also enjoyed watching the birds, especially cardinals, hummingbirds and robins. She loved lilacs and the color yellow. She was often described as a stubborn, but loving person. She adored her family, especially her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Tom E. Webster; children Tom J. Webster, Tina Potts (Shane), Karen Webster; grandchildren Devon, Damien; siblings Maxine, Anna Mary, David; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Merrill Sr. and Adeline Walker; siblings Merrill Jr., Helen, James, Robert; and grandchildren Carter, Aiden, Tristan, Travis, Kyri, and Killian.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home (Wayland chapel), 312 N. Main St.
In memory of Marie and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
