Wayland Union Middle School’s annual school-wide Spelling Bee was held Wednesday, Jan. 13.The contest lasted 23 rounds and the championship word was: defector.
The following students will be representing Wayland at the Countywide Spelling Bee scheduled to take place at the middle school at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23.
The five finalists were Alexis Delaney, first place; Mason Drozd, second; Macy Schwartz, third; Jacob VanDuine, fourth, and Aaiden Dozeman and Jenna Hendricks, tied for fifth.
