Wayland Middle School Student Council members Wednesday spent some quality time with local senior citizens.
They visited residents at Green Acres Assisted Living in Wayland, spending time one on one sharing their iPad skills and apps for National Assisted Living week.
Here are some comments from the students:
• “It was nice to hear their perspective about technology. Hear their backgrounds and share stories of what computers were for them.” — Ashton Fekete.
• “My guy was amazed with the iPads. He had never had seen one (iPad). We played crossword puzzles. He was intrigued.” — Tyler Omness. (in attached pictured with Green Acres resident Herb DeMaagd.
• “The resident regretted not keeping up with technology. She had a computer at one time and had no idea what an iPad could do.” Paige Keena.
