Just as a facility needs assessment is being conducted by Tower Pinkster for Wayland Union Schools, the middle school tennis courts have been shut down and gates padlocked. School officials have indicated the courts are unplayable and unsafe, which makes it necessary for all physical education classes to use the high school courts only. The Board of Education last summer contracted with Tower Pinkster for the assessment as a prelude to a possible bond issue to take care of the tennis courts, but most particularly the high school pool.
