Vicki Kouchnerkavich is retiring as children’s services director at the Henika District Library after 25 years of service.
Affectionately known as “Kooch” or “Miss Vicki,” because of the length of her last name, she and her husband, Keith, not long ago moved to Wyoming, but she has remained at Henika until now. She was best known as a reader of children’s stories.
Kouchnerkavich and her family were longtime residents of Wayland and they all attended the United Church of Wayland for many years. Son David and daughter Sarah both are graduates of Wayland High School.
She also taught pre-school at Wayland and was a children’s Sunday School teacher at United Church of Wayland.
