Monkey Bread has been a classic, easy to make, pull apart sweet treat for years, enjoyed especially for our families breakfast in the park fun!
Ingredients
4 of your favorite small sized canned biscuits
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
1 stick of margarine
1 gallon zip lock bag
Cut individual biscuits into fourths. Shake biscuits in the gallon bag with the cinnamon and granulated sugar (the grands love doing this part). Place in bundt pan. Melt the brown sugar and oleo and boil for 1 minute. Pour over biscuits that were placed in the bundt pan and bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
You will know when it’s done when it’s puffy and crisp on top, and when a tooth pick inserted in the thickest part comes out clean. Take out of oven and let set for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
I do need to apologize for not having end picture as it vanished before I could get this done. Enjoy!
Kathy, you made me hungry even though I have already eaten! It’s because of recipes like this that many of us have gained weight during this shut down time. Please keep them coming.
My pleasure Pat, lots of fun memories are recalled while making these recipes. Happy to share.
