Monterey house damaged by Sunday morning fire

The Hopkins Area Fire Department was summoned to a structure fire in Monterey Township Sunday morning. On arrival fire was located in basement, first floor bedroom and living room and second floor bedroom. Firefighters said PPA was applied before crews made entry to finish extinguishing the fire with 3,200 gallons of water. No injuries occurred due to the fire. Allegan Fire District and Salem Fire Department assisted and Wayand Area Emergency Services also stood by for rehab.
