The U.S.-131 expressway southbound this morning was backed up between Martin and 106th Avenue due to an accident involving a semi. This was one of more than a few traffic troubles that have occurred on the expressway Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Motorists are advised by authorities to slow down and pay attention to their surroundings.

An area motorist said the driver of the semi was OK after his vehicle smacked into a tree and he was out talking to an officer.
