Mother Nature’s day after April Fool’s Day is cruel joke

It was the day after April Fool’s Day, and Mother Nature had a cruel joke in store for West Michigan. Despite area weather forecasters predicting just one to two inches of snow, we got about three inches of the white stuff, according to a variety of disgruntled residents. Holly Hanson Trubiroha took this photo while traveling along U.S.-131 just before 1 p.m. Saturday and others posted nasty photos on Facebook. Some sent them as greetings to people enjoying spring break down south in warmer temperatures. Some took the opportunity to diss global warming, overlooking the fact we thought we had just finished with one of the warmest winters ever.
