Abbie LaFountaine commended her duties this week as new director of the Wheeler Library in Martin.
She was selected to the position by the Library Board, succeeding Alicia Kershaw, who resigned after 16 years to take a new job.
“This is such an exciting time for me!” she said on Facebook. “I have loved this library since working here a few years back. I am so happy to be back!
“In my free time, you can probably find me spending time with my family and being a dog mom to my four legged furry friend. Some of my absolute favorite activities are reading (of course), traveling, cooking, baking, and being active. I also teach yoga when I’m not at the library.
“I would love to learn some more about YOU! Leave a comment to tell me a fun fact about you, drop a pet pic, or tell me what you’re currently reading. I will do the same! Be sure to stop in and say hi when you can! I look forward to meeting you!”
