The Wayland boys’ golf team finished sixth in the 14-team North Pointe Invitational Monday at the Railside Golf Course.
Highlight of the meet was senior Nick Losinger carding a 76 and finishing third overall individually. Teammate Jake Omness checked in with an 85, good for 20th place.
Josh Gibson from Grandville and Danny Hooten from Hastings both shot a 74 to share individual medalist honors.
Grandville won the tournament with a 312 score and Kenowa Hills was runner-up at 320. The Wildcats combined for a score of 347.
Wayland shot a 355 Friday to place fifth in another tournament. Losinger led the way that day with a 79, once again good for third.
Caledonia won it with a 317 and Byron Center was runner-up at 337.
