The Wayland/Yankee Springs Fire Department has announced it is not issuing any burning permits. Though the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo areas have been inundated lately by plenty of rain, Wayland seems like a derainitized zone, is there was such a thing. Brown patches on lawns continue to plague the immediate area, which borders on drought conditions.
