Notorious local thespian Charlotte Weick is back for more

Notorious local thespian ACP Char110407678_793595950709671_7010785857840353019_nCharlotte Weick is at it again. An incurable devotee of the theater, she has been cast as the town gossip in the Allegan Community Players’ latest offering, “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder.

“Rehearsals are going well,” she reported on Facebook. “I am playing Mrs. Soames, a church lady who sings in the choir and is the town gossip. Please come to see us at the amazingly beautiful historical Griswold Auditorium! Allegan Community Players rock!”

Weick became famous locally a few years ago as a reporter for the Penasee Globe. Most recently, she played an eccentric Queen Elizabeth I-style character for the Allegan troupe.

Performances have been scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.
