Wayland High School graduates Haley Obetts and Mallory Teunissen helped Davenport University’s softball team sweep Ferris State University Tuesday afternoon in a double header to advance its overall season record to 20-7.

Obetts clubbed a two-run home run, her second of the season. Teunissen (8-3) earned the decision on the mound in the nightcap for DU with a complete game and four strike outs.

Obetts is a junior and 2013 graduate of WHS, where she starred in softball and basketball. Teunissen, a freshman, was high school pitcher of the year last while helping Wayland win the Class B state championship.
