by Kathy Hamman Miller

Sloppy Joe is an old-fashioned recipe that has always been a crowd pleasing family favorite for us. If you are fortunate enough to have any left overs, you can place single servings in muffin cups. Freeze for two hours, remove with a fork and store the single servings in a zip lock bag. It also makes it easy to share so your family and friends can enjoy too! Just place a frozen single serving in a coffee cup and microwave for a minute.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until it’s done, stirring as you go to break up the meat. Drain meat welland set aside leaving a little of the grease in the skillet.

Cook the onion in the greased skillet until it’s translucent, set aside with ground beef. Using the same skillet combine the ketchup, chili sauce and brown sugar.

Simmer on low until it bubbles around the edges for a couple of minutes, as this helps to thicken it. Stir in the ground beef and onions and remove from heat.

Place on buns and enjoy!
