A winter snowstorm visited West Michigan again over the weekend and created havoc with icy roads and a number traffic crashes and slide-offs. In one incident, reported by the Yankee Springs Fire Department, a property damage accident occurred at the corner of M-179 and Yankee Springs Road and the westbound lane of M179 on the east side of the intersection was blocked by a camping trailer in a rollover. There also were reported crashes on U.S.-131 north and south of Wayland, and traffic was backed up near the Dorr exit.
