This simple peach cobbler recipe is made with only four ingredients. It’s a dessert that takes little time to put together, and the ingredients are easily kept waiting on your pantry shelves for when you’re ready to make it.

Feel free to change up the variety of canned fruit and cake flavors. This recipe is in one of my favorite old recipe books, where it’s made with a package of yellow cake mix, which is really good too.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Ingredients:

1 quart or two 16 oz. cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup

1 pkg. carrot cake mix

1 stick, 1/2 cup butter

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Place the canned peaches, including the syrup, in the bottom of a 13″ × 9″ baking dish. Sprinkle the dry cake mix on top of peaches evenly, you do not need to stir it in. Dot with the butter slices, sprinkling the nuts on top. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees until the cobbler is golden and inserting a toothpick, comes out clean.

Serve warm with ice cream, or a whipped topping. Enjoy!
