The oppressive heat wave again has claimed Martin Public Schools as a victim.
School officials today announced Martin will have only a half day of classes Thursday, Aug. 26, just a day after the school closed at 1 p.m. because of the weather.
“The regularly scheduled full day of school has been reduced to a half-day, and students will be dismissed at 11 a.m.,” according to a post on Facebook.
One more reason school should not start before Labor Day.
