Pics of WHS Classes of 1930 to 1958 grace Pine Street walls

Retired Pine Street Elementary Principal Jennifer Moushegian has completed a project to have Wayland High School class composite pictures from 1930 tom 1958 hung in the hallways at the elementary school. Pine Street at one time was the former high school. The pictures were collected and preserved by retired businessman and museum curator J. L Smith for a number of years. When they were donated, Ms. Moushegian made work of getting them framed and then hung in the hallways. The public can view them after school hours from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

I typed wrong year. Class of 1954 Opened the Pine Street school . Lee Greenawalt and Mike Hilbert were in the first kindergarten class with Miss Overmier, who got married so got a different name which was somewhat confusing to me. Her husband was killed in WWII then then she became Mrs. Aubil. Twelve years later, We, as seniors, were in the same room with alphabet on the floor for our last class in algebra.
