Pine Street Elementary K-Kids help out the homeless

The K-KIDS from Pine Street Elementary collected 1,463 pairs of socks in October for people in need. Nine of the members from the group hand delivered the items Thursday to Mel Trotter Ministries in Grand Rapids. Students were invited in to the ministry and were given a small tour to learn about how their items would be put to good use and how they had made a difference. They were also made aware of some of the many ways in which Mel Trotter and its donors helps others. They visited the cafeteria, where they learned that more than 400 meals a day are served.
